Modern website for a pioneer in intelligent transportation

We designed and implemented an impressive website for ITS Finland that offers up-to-date information about the association’s activities, events, news, and member companies. The goal of the redesign was to highlight the smart transport solutions promoted by the association in a visually appealing way. A central feature of the site is the illustrations that depict the future possibilities of different modes of transportation. The site aims to inspire users with the opportunities presented by intelligent transportation in Finland and with Nordic partners: Technological solutions promoted by domestic startups and emission-free innovations are key as the transportation industry electrifies and digitizes.

We created the website’s illustrative images using hybrid technology, combining real photographs and AI-assisted elements. Striking images, a clear structure, and fresh colors make the whole inspiring and easily approachable. The website’s clear and light structure helps users find the information they are looking for about projects, events, and partners effortlessly. The site is designed to comply with accessibility standards, incorporating details such as color contrasts, text heading hierarchy, readability, and navigation by keyboard and screen readers. Accessible design and technical execution ensure that the site meets the needs of all users and the content is available for everyone.

WordPress Gutenberg implementation

The site is implemented with WordPress, and its technical solution is based on WordPress’s revamped Gutenberg editor, which makes the maintenance and updating of the site even smoother. With the site implemented by Gutenberg, the client can completely independently edit the site content. The administrator’s experience looks visually the same as the public site, making changes in the editing view more intuitive.

The site uses elements designed for ITS Finland to present content, such as visual highlights, card and content listings, image galleries, and traditional content columns. The implementation facilitates the creation of new pages and adds more flexibility to ITS Finland’s daily content production.
