Lapland’s Krassi

Lapin Krassi is a food factory that produces food components and local food for restaurants, retailers and consumer customers all over Finland. The online service we have designed is the newest sales channel for the company, which was founded in 1996. We were also given the opportunity to design portion packs for the consumer market, with a fresh design that reflects the freshness of the ingredients.

New look and new consumer packaging

Lapin Krassi has been operating since 1996 on the HORECA professional side, providing carefully prepared food components for restaurants and tasty ready meals for retailers. Thanks to larger premises, Lapin Krassi was now able to start offering ready meals to the consumer market. At the same time, an update of the traditional look, which had already been planned in 1996, was in order. Lapin Krassi relied on our expertise both in designing the packaging for the new products and in updating the traditional brand. The company’s slogan was “Tasty and uncomplicated since 1996”, which means that Lapin Krassi’s products offer an uncomplicated way to enjoy authentic flavours.

E-commerce for consumer customers

Lapin Krassi also wanted to revamp its online service so that it would offer not only services for professionals, but also a new sales channel for the sale of ready-made food. We built a WordPress WooCommerce online store as a seamless part of the site, which convinces with its tasty and uncomplicated design. The purpose of the store was to make it easier and faster for consumers to shop, and to make online orders part of the company’s food preparation process. The store aims to gain experience in online prepared food shopping and in the future to continue its determined efforts to grow and develop the online store, so that Lapin Krassi can offer prepared food more easily directly to the doorstep.

Creative director / Entrepreneur

Creative director or creative generalist. As an entrepreneur, my role is to lead the creative process and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Sometimes I’m the one digging, sometimes I’m leaning on the shovel explaining exactly where to dig. I started my career as a graphic designer in 2004, and my path toward becoming an entrepreneur at Höyry began in 2013. Brand design, digital marketing, and developing customer-oriented web services have always been particularly close to my heart.

Graphic Designer

Jaakko is an experienced design professional with a solid understanding of code as well. Since entering the field in 2011, he has designed and delivered comprehensive web solutions, logos, and visual identities. One of Jaakko’s greatest strengths is his ability to distill a client’s core message into a concise and visually striking form.

Software Developer

Robin is a full-spectrum web solutions specialist with fourteen years of experience. As a software engineering graduate, he has deep expertise in both back-end and front-end development, where his visual eye adds clear value. He works with precision and considers multiple perspectives in every project. In addition to websites, he also delivers ecommerce solutions.

What kind of services do you offer?

How do you price your services?

We work on both a project basis and hourly billing. For larger assignments, you will always receive a proposal that includes a solution outline, process description, scope of delivery, and timeline. Smaller tasks are billed hourly, and we can provide a time estimate upon request. Compared to agencies in the Helsinki metropolitan area, we are competitively priced while delivering the same high level of quality.

How quickly can we get started?

We’re agile and can schedule a meeting within the same week. Based on that discussion, we’ll define the scope and provide a clear proposal. Depending on the scale of the project, a website redesign typically takes around three months. Smaller websites, such as one-page sites, can be completed in just a few weeks if needed.
