Aurora Powertrains manufactures quiet and pollution-free electric snowmobiles that are the future of sledding. We designed a striking corporate identity and online shop for the 2018 Arctic Design Company of the Year award winner to pre-book snowmobiles.

Image design
We designed the corporate identity for the start-up company Aurora Powertrains back in 2017. The image was to be a combination of sporty technology and natural harmony. In 2022, the look will still be up to date when AuroraPowertrains launches a revolutionary electric snowmobile of its own design. The new sled is built around a powerful battery pack, enabling new technical solutions.
Pre-booking online shop
Aurora Powertrain needed a website that would be attractive and marketable, allowing them to book an electric scooter and pay the pre-booking fee via the online service. The website also needed to generate interest and attract potential customers to book the product. We built the website on the WordPress Woocommerce platform, where payment is handled by Paytrail. This flexible platform will allow the website to be developed in the future, for example with an online shop for sledging related products.
The team
Kalle Tapio
Creative director or creative generalist. As an entrepreneur, my role is to lead the creative process and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Sometimes I’m the one digging, sometimes I’m leaning on the shovel explaining exactly where to dig. I started my career as a graphic designer in 2004, and my path toward becoming an entrepreneur at Höyry began in 2013. Brand design, digital marketing, and developing customer-oriented web services have always been particularly close to my heart.
Jaakko Ylikulju
Jaakko is an experienced design professional with a solid understanding of code as well. Since entering the field in 2011, he has designed and delivered comprehensive web solutions, logos, and visual identities. One of Jaakko’s greatest strengths is his ability to distill a client’s core message into a concise and visually striking form.
Jussi Tuoma
Jussi is a full stack developer specialized in WordPress-based solutions. Over the past 12 years, he has delivered large-scale travel portals, ecommerce platforms, and numerous corporate websites. He has also built integrations between websites and third-party systems using available APIs.
